We remember our trips to various football stadiums to watch the Green Bay Packers play. My daughter was about seven years old in this picture (she is now 24). My daughter always enjoyed wearing her Packer gear to the daycare and she loved that Packer jacket. Watching an NFL football game has always been our special mother daughter time.

We grew up a Packer fans. We rock green & gold fashion with pride. When most think of football and home theater, they do not think of women having a special space to watch NFL football. Our humble home theater provides the perfect space with the comfort, convenience, and cleanliness we need to enjoy a long afternoon of NFL playoff watching in our own private space.

As women, we like the same game day setup as men but with a few feminine touches. We break out our Packer room décor with a touch of bling. Yep! I said “bling.” That’s the feminine touch mentioned earlier. We have DIY blinged a lot of football swag to make it a little more girly. The bling makes us smile and adds an additional touch of fun to game day watching experience.

Our humble home theater has a vibrant 135-inch screen and a fantastic 7.2 surround sound Klipsch speaker system. When watching the game, the screen and the surround sound makes us feel like we are in the stadium without the crowds, without expensive tickets, without $40 parking, and without crowded bathrooms. Our Klipsch speakers and large viewing screen creates an immersive game day sound experience that allows us to see the players up close, feel the hits, dispute the calls like the coaches, and hear the crowd noise on an elevated level.

Around Age 7
We enjoyed this mother daugher NFL moment!

We have traded in the green and yellow hair barrettes for baseball hats and head scarves. We rock our Packer pajamas, head scarfs, and fuzzy socks. My daughter is a skilled fashion designer. She creates all our Packer pajama gear these days.

Since we are in the house for the day enjoying a relaxed and lazy Sunday, we cuddle up in our Packer theme blankets and eat until we are full and sleepy. This playoff weekend will be no different. The month of January and especially this weekend is another home theater fan’s dream with many great television shows and football games. This Sunday is no exception.

First, the 3rd episode in the #WhoShotGhost saga of the hot Starz series Power focuses on Tommy’s back story. Since Tommy is third in the line-up it leads us to believe Tommy didn’t shoot Ghost. We strongly believe Ghost didn’t die and Tariq shot Ghost. Hence the Power hashtag #WhoShotGhost versus #WhoKilledGhost. Any hoo! This Sunday’s Power episode “It’s All Your Fault” is a must watch for us around 12:30 PM EST.

Second, the NFL playoffs have been exciting every week with four unexpected teams left battling for a spot in the Super Bowl. Who expected the New England Patriots and the Baltimore Ravens to lose? No one! The AFC championship game is now between the Tennessee Titans vs the Kansas City Chiefs at 3:00 PM EST. The NFC Championship is now between the Green Bay Packers and the San Francisco 49ers at 6:30 PM EST.

Third, the Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG) are also this Sunday at 6:00 PM EST. We look forward to the SAG Awards every year. With the Packers in the playoffs, we will temporarily miss the red-carpet fun and the SAG awards. We plan to DVR the SAG programs. We will watch the full red-carpet events and SAG awards after the Green Bay game ends with dessert.

With any cave setup, food and drink plays an important role. We plan to get our grub on this Sunday, then lounge around full, fat, and sleepy.

Our home cinema concession stand is always stocked with wine coolers, wine, soda, coffee, and tea selections. We always have a variety of popcorn, candy, snacks, and classic movie theater treats. We also keep a little hard liquor on hand just in case we want a little something extra.

Our beer pockets with champagne dreams home theater (football women cave) is clean, comfortable, and budget friendly. You can learn more about us, our geeky passion for movies, sports, and our nerdy obsession with great television series on this page.

We have a fun day of Power, NFL playoffs, and SAG awards planned for this Sunday. We enjoy our space for the convenience, comfort, and cleanliness it offers us to create a lazy Sunday of television watching. We laugh and enjoy the experience because we are always ready for some football.
