Coming 2 America Watch Party
Amazon Prime Studios has finally launched a trailer for the highly anticipated “Coming 2 America” sequel. The film will debut on Friday, March 5, 2021. Our home theater party would never be complete without watching the original film first. We will party like it’s 1988 then party like it’s 2021.
Of course, we will be hosting the flyest social distancing, pandemic bubble, home theater watch party you have ever seen posted on YouTube. We plan to launch the A Reel Cinema At Home YouTube channel in February 2021 so subscribe in anticipation.

We are still in the process of selecting outfits and purchasing room décor. Once we have those details decided, we will post pictures and prices.

Every A Reel Cinema At Home watch party is a 21+ event. We do not allow kids to attend ANY of our events. No exceptions. Parents need a break too!
As guests arrive, we will play the Coming to America Trivia Game by Cards for the Culture. This hilarious game consists of 54 questions based on the cult, classic movie “Coming to America.” This card game is a fun ice-breaker for guests who don’t know each other.
Our home theater concession stand is fully stocked at all times. Our concession area includes a fully stocked espresso/hot chocolate/tea station, liquor bar, and popcorn station. Traditional movie candies and treats are also available. A refrigerator stocked with soda, wine coolers, and beer is available for guest selection. All concession treats are FREE to our guests. We will also have our version of “McDowell’s” hot burger buffet available for guests to enjoy before the first movie begins.

The original Coming to America film was released in 1988. It was an instant box office hit and has become an African-American, cult classic film. Most black people know every word of this film – EVERY WORD! We cannot get enough of this film. We have anticipated the sequel but love the original.

We are asking our guests to dress up like Zamunda wedding guests or characters from the original movie. With that request, we know our guests will want to take pictures with each other. A photo booth with props will be designed so guests can take pictures for social media with the hashtag – #areelcinemaathome.
We have created an intermission R&B playlist that strongly encourages feet tapping and butt shaking. This inspires guests to move around after sitting. A great playlist gets the blood flowing, promotes dancing, and improves guest interaction.
Most importantly, intermission is necessary for guests to take a bathroom break between movies. This will also be a great time to refresh the home theater, concession bar, and set up the wings buffet table for our Coming 2 America menu.
A Reel Cinema At Home is EXTREMELY excited for the release of the film Coming 2 America. The film was originally owned by Paramount Pictures. Amazon Studios recently purchased the film’s distribution rights due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This highly anticipated sequel will be released on Prime Video on March 5, 2021.

According to reports, the second film sends Prince Akeem back to America in search of his long lost son and future heir to the throne of Zamunda. We are confused by this plot synopsis but we highly anticipate the comedy that will unfold within.
