Our main focus in 2020 is moving into a new home. We feel we have done all we can do in our current city. We have been everywhere. We have done everything. We are stuck in a rut and it doesn’t feel like we are progressing towards new goals. We have become too comfortable doing the same shit day-in and day-out. We are forward moving people; therefore, being in a rut is simply unacceptable. So it is time to pack up and be blessed with new moments in our lives.
Now that the new year is upon us, we have set our home theater goals for 2020:
We are blessed. We have a lot of unnecessary stuff we have held on to for 24 years just-in-case. This stuff has taken up valuable floor space in our home. It is time to let the unnecessary stuff go to allow room for new blessings in our new city. We don’t need a lot of stuff to make our home or our home theater great. It is an intimate space for us and friends on occasion.
A lot of times we don’t have the opportunity to create our dream space for our home theater because we are in a time crunch. Due to time constraints, we have settled for homes that did not meet all of our everyday living needs. For us, that includes a home theater room that fits all of our theater furniture, speakers, decorations, and equipment. When we are house hunting next week, if the house doesn’t have room for a dedicated home theater with ENOUGH space – it’s off the list of housing options.
Not everyone appreciates the blessing or the purpose of having your own home theater. We look forward to building a positive network of friends in our new city who appreciate the home theater experience and all that it could potentially offer in the way of entertainment. We will invite them over for many hours of good food, great drinks, wonderful conversation, and hours of home theater entertainment.
We like glam and we are bling divas. Our new home theater space will have a lot more bling, shimmer, and shine. Our home theater is our happy place and so our décor will be improved by adding more bling and sparkly things.
In our current home, we didn’t hold as many parties as we would like mainly because of space issues. We hope to remedy this with our new home in a new city. As we make new friends (who eventually become like family), we hope to hold more watch party events. We love to entertain, cook great food, and engage in wonderful conversation. We don’t need 1,000 Facebook friends. We need 5 to 10 good friends we can invite over for face-to-face conversations and fun events.
The key to a good home theater is picture, sound, and environment. We have a great picture, we have great sound, and we will create a wonderful environment in our new home. We want to improve our sound with overhead Atmos to create a more immersive sound experience. Our current 7.2 Klipsch speaker system overwhelms our small room. When we search for our new home, we must find a home that accommodates our current 7.2 speaker set-up and allows us to add Atmos.
Our happiest memories are those were we laughed so hard we peed a little. We have watched several movies with scenes so hilarious we had to pause the movie to finish laughing. For instance the “Chris Rock” scene in the movie Nobody’s Fool. Chris was only in the movie for a hot minute, but his delivery was hilarious. We stopped the movie because we literally peed ourselves from laughing so hard. Those are the moments we remember the most. Those are the moments we want to continue to create in our home theater in 2020.
We have specific home theater dreams for our website and the launch of our YouTube channel in 2020. It is crystal clear we will never accomplish our YouTube goals in our current city. A home move is exactly what we need right now. A fresh start will allow us to share more of our home theater party experiences, engage with more like-minded home theater enthusiasts, and create a bigger home theater space.
The year 2019 has certainly been exciting with the launch of the A Reel Cinema @ Home website on November 25, 2019. The year 2020 is sure to be bigger and better on YouTube. We look forward to seeing our beer pockets and champagne dreams come true on our YouTube channel.
