With a snowstorm blowing outside, we are thinking about our 2019 home theater Christmas wish list. We thought it would be fun to share with you what’s on our list. You might just find a perfect gift for a friend or family member who is a serious home theater fan.
This Game of Thrones: Complete Series Limited Edition Collector’s Set (Blu-ray+Digital) box set is currently on pre-order for $249.99 with delivery on December 3, 2019. We are huge Game of Thrones fans. We enjoyed every moment of the show and awaited the final season start date with serious anxiety. While most GOT fans wanted to be a part of House Stark, we always saw ourselves as the High Garden type. We would fit right into a house that grew food for the other realms. We would make our house sigil a homemade buttermilk biscuit. We cannot get enough of Game of Thrones. We will watch the entire series again without a care that Starbucks coffee cups and water bottles are present. We loved the show and even enjoyed the ending. Cersei messed up Missandei’s and Gray Worm’s happy ending, so she had to go! Dracarys!
If you haven’t seen our home theater tour, I will link it here. We have a modern mouse theme as we are huge fans of all things Disney. When we think of the happiest times in our lives, our family vacations to Walt Disney World are always at the top. When we first saw these Ethan Allen Disney chairs, we thought we NEED these in our home cinema. These chairs would push our modern mickey décor theme over-the-top. Then we saw the price – $1,999 per chair. We have beer pockets with champagne dreams. These chairs are entirely out of our price range. It’s a good thing dreams and wishes are free. We can dream of what it would be like to have two of these chairs at the front of our home theater. That’s all it will ever be unless these chairs come down in price in an extreme clearance sale. As perfect as they are for our room decor, these Ethan Allen Mickey Mouse club chairs are truly just “a wish.”
The AC Infinity T8 Receiver & AV Component Cooling 17″ Rear Exhaust Blower System is priced at $119. We would need two blower systems. One for our current Denon X6200W receiver and one for a future amp when we upgrade our speaker system. These fans are designed to improve airflow and prevent components from overheating. The T-Series models have a digital display with programming that includes automated fan control and alarm alerts. This is a must purchase for the home cinema fan who has already invested a lot of money in a high-end receiver.
The huge success of Game of Thrones has other businesses wanting to get in on the cash cow that is GOT. Johnny Walker released two blended scotch whiskies. “The White Walker by Johnnie Walker A Song of Ice” and “A Song of Fire” may still be available at your local liquor store. Special drink recipes to make this a perfect drink are available on the Johnny Walker website.
The bottle is even designed to change color and reveal a special message when chilled. The Total Wine website lists the 750 ml bottle for $39.99 each.
If you are not a fan of scotch whiskies, you still have options for the Game of Thrones fan. The official wines of the HBO series include a red wine blend, a pinot noir, a white wine, and a chardonnay. We have a bottle of the red we purchased from our local wine shop. We haven’t opened it yet because we are waiting for the release of the entire blu-ray series. We plan to enjoy the red wine sometime during the holidays while watching the series during a cold, long December night. Winter is coming!
For the price, this Frigidaire Commercial 18.4 Cu. Ft. Glass Single-Door refrigerator should come fully stocked with beverages and extra cases to refill. This refrigerator would allow us to display cold beverage options while still maintaining a modern look. This refrigerator retails for $2,250. That is a lot of money for a refrigerator. We love to dream. After all this is a Christmas wish list. We will find something for that fits our budget and be happy with that purchase. This refrigerator will remain on our wish list because the look is fantastic and modern. It is definitely our dream refrigerator for our home theater concession space.
